FAQ

What is a koesister?

A koesister is a traditional Cape Malay pastry from South Africa — a spiced, cake-like doughnut that’s fried, soaked in syrup, and rolled in coconut. Soft, aromatic, and made to be shared.

How long do koesisters stay fresh?

Koesisters are best enjoyed the same day, but they can be refrigerated for up to 2 days and warmed slightly before serving. For longer storage, freeze and reheat to enjoy later.
